“The clue to understanding their behaviour is that they are striving, in the only ways that they perceive as available to them, to move toward growth, toward becoming.”
(Rogers)
Every young person has a story —
shaped by family, school, friendships, culture, and all the environments they move through.
I see each young person within this wider picture.
Understanding their world helps us understand them.
My story
My love for understanding people began when I was 13, curled up with my mum’s collection of Agatha Christie novels. I was fascinated by the way Poirot unravelled human behaviour one clue at a time.
Later, I stayed up late on Thursday nights watching Columbo — a special treat from my parents — completely absorbed in the detective’s quiet, clever way of seeing what others missed.
These stories sparked a question in me:
Why do people think, feel, and act so differently, even when they go through the same stages of life?
That question stayed with me.
It led me to become an educator first, teaching literature and drama and helping young people express themselves creatively.
Later, I trained as an art therapist, where I learnt how powerful creative tools can be in helping children and adolescents explore emotions that are difficult to put into words.
Today, as an integrative psychotherapist, I support young people in making sense of their experiences and finding ways to understand, accept, and grow into themselves.
This isn’t just my job —
it’s a continuation of that early curiosity about people’s inner worlds, and a deep belief that
every young person deserves to feel seen, accepted, and supported.
I work collaboratively, creating a space that feels safe to reveal, warm to acknowledge, and welcoming to reflect.
Young people often tell me they appreciate having a place where they can talk freely, be creative, and not feel judged.
Parents tell me they value my calm, steady approach and the way I keep communication open and reassuring.
As an integrative psychotherapist, I tailor my work to each individual by considering:

My aim is to help young people explore their experience, discover the strengths they already have, develop new ones, and feel more confident navigating their lives.
